I’m in the middle of a small farm, learning about what moon phases are best for planting certain crops, the science of good soil, how to water plants, and now my teacher has his fist in the air, smiling at me.
We are here in this dirt because we have declared war.

We are unplugging from the matrix, getting connected to the dirt that we came from and will go back to, feeding ourselves from the fingertips of the moon and the roots of the earth, and damning the fucking man.

Every book is an addition to your life—to your vocabulary, your imagination’s inventory, your knowledge, and your spiritual growth. These books in particular, though seemingly broad in range and cultural genre, have been serious life-changers for me. Each of these books hold so much wisdom and inspiration. They are blessings!

A culture that has banished the complexities and anxieties of moral choice and embraced a childish hypermasculinity.
The decline of the American empire began long before the current economic meltdown or the wars in Afghanistan and Iraq, before Ronald Reagan or the Gulf War. It began when we shifted, in the words of historian Charles Maier, from an “empire of production” to an “empire of consumption.” Over the past few decades, the nation’s imports have begun to exceed its exports, manufacturing jobs are in decline, and we began to spend more than we earned, collectively. Total public debt is now more than $11 trillion, or about $36, 676 per capita…. America’s most dangerous enemies are not Islamic radicals but those who sold us the perverted ideology of free-market capitalism and globalization.
